My local garden club is planning on sending vegetable seeds to hurricane-ravaged Honduras through Sembremos Seeds of Hope. Will Ohio vegetable seeds grow in Honduras?

How wonderful that there are avenues for gardeners to help their fellows in far away places! Since vegetables are annuals, they can grow practically anywhere. Be sure to send a mixture of disease-resistant varieties and open-pollinated (non-hybrid) varieties. It's a common practice in traditional societies to save seeds for the next year's crops. Hopefully Sobremos Seeds will tell the Honduran gardeners not to bother and save seed from hybrid plants, since the seedling offspring won't provide a reliable crop. Thank you for your good works!
