Deer and Tomatoes - Knowledgebase Question

Do deer eat tomatoes? I just got home from vacation and ALL of the tomatoes are gone from my plants. The plants themselves have not been touched. There are no seeds or anything left behind.

I'd be more inclined to think raccoons harvested your tomatoes. When deer feed they generally eat the leaves of plants and will quite often strip the leaves, leaving the stem attached to the plant. Since the plants themselves are untouched, I don't think deer were the garden raiders. Sorry you lost your tomatoes!
