|I'm concerned that you want to line your vegetable bed with concrete. You'll change the natural drainage and can run into problems in the future. Instead of concrete, how about lining the bed with quarter-inch hardware cloth or mesh? This will keep the moles and gophers out but still facilitate good drainage. Whichever product you use to exclude gophers, vegetable plant roots grow about 18 inches deep. Best wishes with your project.
