|Creeping fig will cling to a brick wall if you support it upright so it makes good contact with the wall. Otherwise it will flop over itself until it grows large enough to reach the bricks. Once it starts to climb it will adhere without any help from you. So, the easiest approach is to place a stake in the ground and gently tie the vine to the stake. It will climb up, reach the brick and attach itself. In a year or so the vine will stand upright and develop bark so it is rigid. At that time you can pull out the stake.
