Need plants for large garden that ends at a 5' laurel hedge. Other side drops off at rock wall to grass lawn. Want to fill area between hedge and lawn with variety of plants. Already have forsythia, rhododendron, burning bsh, lilac, azalea and a redtwig dogwood. Would like options with seasonal interest + keep leaves. Want tiered-large (5-8') in back+smaller (2-3') in front. Part under big maple.

Viburnums are always attractive; Pieris and Bridal Wreath Abelia are terrific in the garden; Leucothoe has interesting foliage and heathers bloom 4 times a year in my Seattle area garden. Hope these suggestions are helpful!
