Southeast valley area of phoenix called queen creek. Have a crepe myrtle |
It can take newly planted trees a full year to establish their root systems and begin to grow so I think your tree should be perking up and flowering for you. Crape myrtles flower on new growth so you'll want to prune it back next March to encourage healthy new (and flowering) growth. Sounds like it's getting enough water so continue with your good care. It won't grow much during the hottest months of the year but it should put out some new growth when things cool off in October. At that time you can feed it with a slow release fertilizer. I think the combination of feeding and pruning should help it perform well in your landscape. Hope you see new growth this spring! |
