Tree & Red rock problem? - Knowledgebase Question

Have a Evergreen Pear Tree
it has algea on it. Belong
to the city so can't cut down. It falling down on my red rocks and I can't get rid of it. What do you say will kill it? Betty Mun

If the tree belongs to the city, you should be able to report it as a hazard or a nuisance tree and the city or county crew should come out and prune it or remove it. I can't really recommend anything to kill the tree. If it's in the city right of way, it isn't yours to kill. Sorry I can't offer anything other than to contact the city maintenance department.
