Type of Tree - Knowledgebase Question

A random 'tree' starting growing in one of the pots from another plant. I removed it and planted it in its own pot. However, I have no idea what it is. Here is a link to some photos of it:

I'm glad you were able to post the photo of your mystery plant on shutterfly! Unfortunately, I don't have very good news for you. It looks suspiciously like Lambsquarter, a common summer weed. It can grow up to 5' high so I can understand why you thought it was a tree. With all the good care you've been giving it, I'm sure it's thriving! Here's a fact sheet on Lambsquarter that describes the plant in detail and even has a few photos so you can compare your plant:

The only good news is that it is edible and is sometimes called wild spinach. Wish I had better news for you!
