|I planted a fan palm june 22 seems to be growing and green but something has been eating holes in the leaves. I lightly applied spectracide 3 in 1 insect & disease control it does not seem to be helping. can you please help me?

|Not many insect pests will eat holes in palm fronds and those that do should be controlled with the Spectracide application you've made. The only exception is if a caterpillar is feeding on the fronds. These can be controlled with Bt (bacillus thuringensis) which targets only caterpillars. Bt is sold as Dipel or Thuricide in the garden center. Check the fronds carefully for these pests and if you find any either hand pick them or use Bt. Good luck with your new palm.
