my petunias and zinnias were doing great up until last week, now they are looking very stragely. i planted them in mircle grow potting soil. do you think that possible at this point i should feed them when watering.

You can pinch off the spent flowers to help renew your plants. Petunias especially will benefit from some tip pinching. If you pinch out the tips of each of the stems the plant will develop two new flowering stems where there once was only one. With the zinnias, cut down the stems with faded flowers and new flowering stems will appear. Next time you water you can feed with a liquid fertilizer to give them a boost. Enjoy your garden!
