We have a deck over a pool filter area that had a leak. It also killed some of our do we handle this problem.

It sounds as though the chemicals killed the roots of your grass. I don't know how much concentrated chemical solution leaked onto the soil so I don't know whether or not you can leach it out by simply flooding the soil repeatedly. It may be that you'll need to dig the tainted soil out of the area and replace it with fresh soil from another part of your landscape. I'd replace the top 4-5 inches of soil and then replant the area. I hope this does the trick!
