I have some very sunny areas of my lawn that I have to seed.I would like to know what seed and top soil should I use. Thank you. |
Cool season grasses are the most common grasses found in New York. Some of these varieties include: Kentucky Bluegrasses, fine fescues, turf type tall fescues. Rake the bare areas of your lawn and work a little compost into the areas to help loosen the soil and provide a nutrient rich area for the grass seeds to germinate. Broadcast the seeds, cover over with a thin layer of compost and keep the areas moist. The new grass should sprout in 7-10 days. Best wishes with your lawn. |
