New Cumberland, Pe
|I just seeded a new lawn this spring. I have a lot of weeds now in August and would like to treat with a good post emergent herbicide. Could you recommend a good one I could use? Also, I would like to overseed in the fall. Could the herbicide I use harm the new seedlings? Please advise.

|After your new lawn is up and growing well, usually after 2-3 mowings, you can safely apply an herbicide to control the weeds. Some herbicides have a residual effect and can keep seeds from germinating so be sure to check the label to see what the waiting period is between application and overseeding. Products you can use include Spectracide Weed Stop or Ortho Weed-b-Gon Weed Killer for Lawns.
