|I recently purchased a knockout rose and I would like to place it in a spot that does not get 6 hours of sun. Also I am amending the soil because it has not been a good spot for others things I have planted. Do you think it will do alright without the 6 hours of sun?

|Your knockout rose will grow without 6 hours of direct sunlight but it won't flower as freely as it might if planted in full sunshine. You might consider planting something else in the spot. Rhododendrons and camellias will usually flower with less than 6 hours of sunlight per day. Amending the soil is fine - in fact it might be a good idea since you've had difficulty with other plants in the area. Good luck with your Knockout rose!
