|I'm doing a research paper on "plants and how we use them". I figure the most common use of them aside from cooking is medicinally. I would like it if you can give me a list of the most commonly used plants and herbs used in/for medicinal uses, and where they came from ( a little history). I would appreciate it gratefully. If you can give me a reference, that would be nice too.

|So many plants have been used medicinally over the ages it would be impossible to give you a short or typical list. Instead, you might wish to look at some of the information provided by modern herb experts such as Steven Foster. One I particularly like is his "Herbal Renaissance, Growing, Using & Understanding Herbs in the Modern World" which includes the type of information I think you are looking for. Good luck with your project!
