|A weeping pussy willow should produce stems that droop downward. Sometimes the new growth needs a little encouragement to get it to grow down so you can try tying fishing weights or small rocks onto the tips of the branches. The extra weight will pull them downward and once the bark on the branch begins to harden, the branch will continue to grow downward and you can remove the weights. If a branch refuses to grow downward or to stay down, you can cut it off and concentrate on the other branches. Best wishes with your plant!
