Fall/winter vegetable garden - Knowledgebase Question

I was told that green vegetables such as lettuces, broccoli, cauliflower etc can be grown here with little difficulty during the fall and winter months. I would like more I info please.

What you've heard is true! You can plant lots of different kinds of cool season vegetables (those that prefer to grow in the cooler spring and fall months). The usual planting dates are from mid=August through September. Your local cooperative extension office has a publication detailing the process, complete with suggested planting dates for your area.
