Wondering what to plant on the South side of my brand new yard. (Which is the backyard.) What should i plant agaisnt the the house and around the patio? I live in Omaha, NE. Thanks.

Some suggestions for a sunny flower bed include yarrow, Artemesia, Yellow False Indigo, Globe thistle, Purple coneflower, Sea Holly, Gaillardia, creeping Phlox and Sedum. There are lots of other choices. Since you have a brand new yard, you might find the following publication helpful in designing your landscape, preparing the planting beds, and choosing just the right plants:
