Seeds of Coleus will germinate in 10-20 days when kept at temperatures of 65F - 75Fdegrees, Aquilegia (Columbine) takes 30-90 days at 65F - 75F, Impatiens seeds should germinate in 21-30 days at 70F - 75F degrees and Pansies (Viola) take 14-21 days at temperatures of 65F - 75F degrees. Be sure to start your seeds in moistened seed starting mix, planting at the recommended depth. Seeds that take over two weeks to germinate will benefit if you place plastic wrap over the trays or pots to help retain moisture. Remove the plastic as soon as the seedlings appear. It's important that the new plants receive good air circulation or the seedlings can be attacked by a fungal disease called damping-off.
