how does one make the pansy plant fuller? Do you pinch off the flowers or the buds? They do well here in SC for the winterbut need some fullness. What other plants are good to plant for the winter months-remember we have gumbo soil!

Regular pinching will help keep your pansies fuller and promote lots of new flowers. When the flowers are spent pinch the flowering stem back to a pair of leaves. To promote lots of new flowering stems, pinch out the growing tips of each of the stems on your plants. Other flowers to consider include primroses, stock, snapdragons and asters.
