I received a lovey schleffera a month ago and it is losing leaves like crazy. What can I do? Do not want it do die. It is putting out a few new leaves but almost all the old ones are either gone or going

Low light conditions or water stress can cause leaf drop, as can drafts from air conditioners or heaters. In general, schleffera prefers bright light but not direct sunshine; moist soils, and average household temperatures. Make sure it's out of drafts, gets plenty of bright light and you water as soon as the top of the potting soil dries out. Once you improve the growing conditions you should see lots of healthy new growth.
