I have some either Oriental or Asiatic Lilies I planted a couple of years ago that I badly need to move to another location. When can I did these lilies up and move them? Also what is the best way to dig them up so I do not damage the bulbs? Thank you. |
The very best time to dig and replant your lilies is in the early winter after the tops of the plants have died down and the bulbs are dormant. I use a spade or garden fork to dig the bed. If you're careful you can lift the bulbs out without impaling them with the tines of the fork. |
