Our school started a container garden last year.(We have limited space) Can you suggest some vegetable and flowering plants the students can start in the classroom for Spring planting? |
Most any vegetable and annual flower will adapt to growing in containers so you have lots of choices. Some of the easiest seeds to plant and grow in a classroom situation are green beans, zucchini, carrots, corn, chives, radishes and peas. Marigolds are sturdy flowers, as are zinnias, cosmos and sunflowers. I'm sure there are lots of others you can try. Best wishes with your container gardens. |
