Amaryllis typically blooms first and then develops leaves. When the leaves die down naturally the bulbs rest for several weeks, then develop flowers and then strap like leaves. If you want to move your amaryllis, wait until the foliage dies down on its own and the bulbs are dormant. At that time you can dig and replant them and they should flower right on schedule for you. Enjoy!
