|i have one plant that has a whole lot of babies on it. should i leave it in the ground for winter or should i dig it up and plant it in a strawberry pot with all the little babies. thank you, elaine

|If the plant is in the ground now, just allow the babies to develop their own root systems by pegging the runners down so the bottoms of each of the babies makes good contact with the soil. Once they have each developed their own root systems you can cut the runner between the baby and the parent plant. It isn't necessary to pot them up on their own - you can leave them where they are - but you can pot them up if you'd like.
