Can I transplant my irises that haven't ever bloomed (I expect them to bloom this coming spring)or should I wait until they get their first bloom in before I transplant? I'm trying to get a better impact on the color.

August is an excellent time to dig and transplant irises. You won't need to wait until they have developed their first flowers. You can move them now. Best wishes with the move!
