I have new above ground veg bed already mixed up soil and am ready to plant. which veg are teh best to begin? also found some interesting veg in seeds can i use these or do i need to use the one that are already started. Thanks Robin

You can plant cool season vegetables such as leaf lettuces, broccoli, cabbage, onions and radishes. There's an whole list of possibilities at the bottom of the following publication from NC State University:

You can sow seeds or plant transplants. Just choose plants with a short growing period (check the backs of the seed packages) so they will have time to mature before frost. Best wishes with your new garden!
