i have many brownbud allamanda plants inground and in full bloom. i live in s.w. fl. and wonder if i can prune just a little while in the flowering time because the plant is getting a little leggie. if i can, will it still bloom? i might have to cut off some new buds to prune, so is this ok without wrecking the plant?

It's okay to prune your allamanda. Since it flowers on new growth, it will flower again this summer if you prune it back now. Of course if you prune off the growth with the flower buds now, you'll have to wait until the new growth matures enough to flower - but eventually it will. Enjoy your garden.
