|I have a small fig tree in a pot. The figs are falling off one at a time. Help what is going on? This is the second year this is happening. The first year I used blood meal and thought that was the problem too much N.|
|Figs can drop for many reasons; excessive nitrogen is one, and lack of complete pollination is another, but drought or inconsistent watering is the most common reason that fig fruit falls off fig trees growing in containers.
To correct this, make sure that your fig is receiving enough water. You may need to water daily in warm weather and twice daily in hot weather to prevent fig tree fruit drop.
Try adjusting your watering and I think you'll see a difference.
