I live just north of Orlando. Is it too late to plant tomatoes and romaine? Will they do well in pots instead of the ground?

It's not too late to plant tomatoes and lettuces and yes, they will grow well in containers. Full sized tomato plants will need lots of root room - a 3-5 gallon container; patio sized tomato plants will be happy in a 1 1/2 gallon to two gallon container. Romaine has a small, fibrous root system and will grow in a one gallon container. Enjoy your harvest!
