What plants pair well with a hibiscus in a container?

I'd plant something with a trailing growth habit so it can cascade over the sides of the container. Try trailing rosemary, portulaca, or Madagascar periwinkle as a companion to your hibiscus. They all have the same cultural requirements as your hydrangea and they all creep or trail which will help soften the look of the container. Enjoy your garden!
