Hi,
I would like to know if you can replant outdoor plants to another location. Before I moved to my home the previous owner planted some Tulips and Hostas on the side of the house that gets no sun and they can't be seen. I'd like to plant them in the front where there is some afternoon sun. When is the best time to replant them?

You can dig the tulip bulbs and transplant them now. Tulips bloom best when they get about 6 hours of direct sunshine. Hostas grow best in the shade so try to find a different shady spot in your landscape. If planted in the sun, the foliage will burn. Hostas can be moved in late fall or early spring. Good luck with your landscape!
