Bulbs are relatively inexpensive and they can turn into large plants that will develop additional bulbs. So you'll not only get a nice plant, but that plant will also have babies. If you have the room, go ahead and plant gladiolus. Eventually you can have a whole flowerbed full of glads for just the price of one or two. Enjoy!
