I just dug up my lilly's, glads & dahial's. How should I store them for the winter |
Bulbs should be stored in a cool, dry place. A garage is fine as long as it remains cool, but above freezing. Allow the bulbs to dry for a day or two, then shake off excess soil and lay them in a single layer in a cardboard box lined with dry peat moss. Cover them with additional peat moss to help keep them from completely drying out. Or, you can store them in a paper bag with some peat moss added. Set them in a cool, dark corner until planting time next spring. |
