I'm afraid houseplants will need to be watered regularly, even in your absence. While you may be able to group them together in a bathtub and set up-ended water bottles in the soil to water them for a few weeks, I don't think they'll survive for 4 months without replenishing the water. How about having a friend or neighbor take care of them while you're gone? You might be able to farm them out for the length of time you're gone to ensure they will be alive when you return. Best wishes with your plants!
