What can I do to get rid of those hugh green and white worms that eat my peppers and tomatoes

A good defense against caterpillars is a product called Bt (bacillus thuringiensis) which is sold as Dipel or Thuricide. It is a bacterium that acts as a stomach poison, targeting only caterpillars. It is safe to use on vegetable plants. Be sure to follow label directions.
