My wisteria was planted about 4 years ago and has not flowered yet. I know it could take many years, however I do know how or when to prune it. It has gotten quite large and wild and needs some tameing. It is late Sept and has taken over a whole fence. Please advise. |
Wisteria should be pruned twice a year - in winter when it is dormant (or very early spring before new growth begins) and again in mid-summer to shorten the current season's growth. Wait until your plant is dormant this winter and prune it back to keep it under control. |
