We have one dwarf lemon, one dwarf lime and a dwarf avocado. The citus trees are approx 4'Hx2'W; the avocado is approx. 5'Hx3'W. The Lemon has been in the ground for 2 years, other two 6 months. They were planted in containers with the bottoms removed We live in So. Cal (Chino Hills) can they be successful transpanted and if so when would be a good time to do so?

Fall is a good time to move your trees. Since they are in containers, the move should be easy. I hope eventually you'll find a permanent home for them and can remove those containers. Otherwise the size will be dwarfed and the trees will eventually become root bound enough to girdle and kill themselves.
