Can I transplant chives in fall? I lived in Northern Illinois. thank you

You can plant and/or transplant chives in the fall. The weather is cool, which they like, and they will re-establish their roots within a week. Until then expect a little wilting or drooping, but once they establish they will recover and grow nicely for you. Enjoy!
