i am wanting to dig up some blackeyed susans and transplant them to a different location, when can i do this.

Both fall and spring are good times to dig and transplant perennials. Go ahead and move them now. Be sure to water them well to help settle the soil. The plants will be just fine and will grow nicely for you next spring. Enjoy your garden!
