can I root a peony bush indoors over the winter? what is the best way to do this? I have a heirloom peony bush from my grandmother's house that I would like to divide and plant in other areas of my yard. Thank you |
I don't recommend rooting a peony indoors. These plants need to be outside and experience a winter chill before they will be able to sprout and grow for you. The best approach for you is to wait until frost kills the tops of the plants then dig and divide the roots, replanting as soon as possible in the ground. They will settle in and sprout for you next spring. Best wishes with your peonies. |
