Do I cut the blades on my iris plants for the winter?

Don't remove the foliage until it dies down on its own after a frost. Once it does, you can safely prune it off your plants. As long as the leaves are green they are manufacturing and transporting energy back to the rhizomes for good growth and flowering next year. Enjoy your garden.
