My yard is in mostly shade. The St Augustine is not thriving. Would a shade tolerant bermuda be good to plant now?

AmeriShade St. Augustine is the most shade tolerant St. Augustine grass available so it might be a good choice for your landscape. About the only shade tolerant bermuda is TifGrand and while the growers are working on producing seeds, they may not be readily available. You might check the grass seed aisle, though. Scotts advertises a shade tolerant bermuda grass seed that is most likley TifGrand or a mixture of TifGrand and other bermuda grasses. Good luck with your turf.
