I am growing tomatoes, and I need them to be ready by May 1st. When do I have to start them?

Tomato seeds usually germinate in about a week and need an additional 6-7 weeks to grow large enough to transplant outdoors. I'd sow them indoors the first week of March to have transplants ready to go by the first of May.
