Should I cut back my Tickseed and lavender perennials this fall or wait until next spring? I live in zone 5.
Thank you for your continued help.

We're always happy to help! Wait until spring to prune back your lavender. When the weather warms in the spring and new growth begins, shear your lavender back by about one-third. Tickseed Coreopsis will die down after your first frost. When that happens you can safely cut it down to ground level. Enjoy your garden.
