I live in northern Nevada where it snows in the winter and ranges in the 90s in the summer. The soil is clay. Weeds seem to love the conditions. I want a ground cover that works in the area between my yard and the street. Will honeysuckle work?

The University of Nevada (Reno) has a publication describing the various ground cover plants that will grow in your gardening region. Vinca is one to consider, Japanese Honeysuckle is another, but there are dozens more. Here's the website to visit: http://www.unce.unr.edu/public...

You can download a copy for reference. Best wishes with your new ground cover!
