When, how much and how does one trim lavender?

To keep your lavender growing and flowering happily, prune it lightly in the spring, then again in mid-summer and once again in late fall. Remove only a few inches of growth from each stem. If you prune back to bare wood, no new stems will develop so do your pruning only where there's green foliage. Pruning back will encourage additional branching and lots more flowers. Enjoy!
