I bought some Bonnie Bell seedlings to replant. I wanted to plant each in a small container on the porch so if it gets cold I can move them indoors or to the greenhouse. The question is, I can put one per 8-10 |
Head lettuce can have a deep root system - generally about 12" deep - so if you find a pot that is at least 12 inches deep, your head lettuce should grow to normal proportions. If the soil is shallow, the plant will be stunted and won't reach it's full potential. You might consider growing leaf lettuces or small headed lettuces such as Buttercrunch if your containers are small. Hope you have a great harvest! |
