I live in the 10956 zip code area. Is it too late to put grass seed down to patch up my lawn?

It's bordering on being too late. I'd go ahead and overseed, though. When temperatures are above 40F, grass seed will sprout. If it's too cold, the seed will simply sit and wait for warmer temperatures, sprouting in the early spring.
