I have way to much clay if i put in petmoss with my compost will that help brake up the clay for a better veg's

You're on the right track! Amending your clay soil with organic matter will help loosen it and help it drain more quickly. This is not an overnight fix, though. It can take years to fix clay soils. If you spread compost over the top of the soil and dig it in, then plant your veggies and spread another few inches of compost over the bare soil between the veggies, you can dig the compost into the soil at the end of the growing season and spread a fresh layer of compost over the top of the soil. Repeat this on an annual basis and in a few years you'll have rich garden loam.
